Gniewkowo & Brine Park, Inowrocław

Today, I visited family in Gniewkowo. Gniewkowo is the parish town my ancestors come from. Of course our visit began with some good Polish food.

There were no plans for our visit together and last year we went to Toruń, but it was decided that we would go to Inowrocław. We went to the Tężnie (Cooling Towers) in Brine Park in Inowrocław. The towers and wall have salt water running down through straw to help fill the air with salt water to help with respiration problems & to create a cool area to be in. There are three original such places in Poland - Inowrocław, Ciechocinek & Konstancin. There have been a few smaller ones built but none to the scale of the first three.

If you are in Inowrocław you will enjoy a relaxing walk around the park.
