Ivona - Hear Foreign Language Pronunciation

If you have wondered what words sound like in another language, there are some tools out there to help you. I have found that I like ivona.com the best. Not only can you hear what the words sound like, you can pick a voice (male or female). In order to hear proper pronunciation, you MUST use the proper special characters of the language you wish to hear. This is a very good way to hear a surname or place pronounced correctly, which can help you figure out how the name could have been misspelled in records in the US after your relatives arrived in the US.

Ivona has 23 languages available to date:

Danish English, Welsh Polish Spanish, American
Dutch French Portuguese Swedish
English, American French, Canadian Portuguese, Brazilian Turkish
English, Australian German Romanian Norwegian
English, British Icelandic Russian Welsh
English, Indian Italian Spanish, Castilian
