Kraków Rynek in Daylight

St. Mary's Basilica (Kościół Mariacki)I finally did have the chance to see Rynek (Marketplace) in Kraków at night during this trip, but it is still wonderful to see it during the daylight, so after the visit to the underground museum in Rynek, we took in the sights in daylight. I felt like I was visiting an old friend, as I have been here many times, even during the same trip. It is fun to be in the hustle & bustle of everyone enjoying themselves.

One can not just walk around Rynek & take photos. It is just as enjoyable to sit and have a a beer, coffee or something to eat and people watch.

In addition to the main Rynek, there is a smaller rynek nearby called "mały rynek" or " small marketplace". As with many towns that have a state archive building, The archives in Kraków are very near to Rynek, so if you are a genealogy researcher, you can go to the archives and take in the sights in Rynek easily in the same visit.
