Mill Island (Wyspa Młyńksa) in Bydgoszcz

White GranaryI have yet to see anything in Bydgoszcz, Poland, so while I was there to pick up my rental car, I was going to see some of
Bydgoszcz for the first time along with Adam, Ania & Artur. Since they had not visited the area either it was going to be an adventure for all of us. The first adventure was finding the place we were looking for & some associated parking.

Our first stop was at Mill Island in Bydgoszcz Stare Miasto (Old Town), which was one of the recommendations from tour info & in 2012 won an award for one of the best tourist attractions. Bydgoszcz is not as old as Toruń, as it was only a small village for a long time after the city of Toruń was established. The island is separated from the mainland by the Brda River. At one time there were more smaller islands, but man made some changes to what is seen today.

There is only one road that passes through the island and you can enjoy a very leisurely walk along the walking path to view the scenes along the Brda River.

As I have so many photos & will not put them in the blog post, I have added more photos to my Facebook page. You can visit the page here & if you LIKE my page you can get notified of more photos & posts I add
