Next Stop - Dąbrowa Górnicza

Friday was my day to leave Toruń and drive to Dąbrowa Górnicza. I left Toruń for what should have been about a 3 1/2 hour drive, but because of an accident that closed one lane of the road & some construction & there was a lot of traffic especially on a holiday weekend,  it too me four hours. I met with my hosts for the weekend (Maria & Jan Firkowski) and started my visit with a great meal.

Because of needing to pack my bags & the long drive there was not any time to go visit anywhere, but I still had a great day because I was able to visit with my good friend and distant cousin Łukasz along with his wife & 2 year old son and his parents. Łukasz's son is beginning to speak & he is learning English in addition to Polish.

Jan & Maria live on the 11th floor of a large apartment building & although it is the 11th floor, it is not the 11th story & is actually the 12th story. In Europe the first level is not normally used for living so it is not considered the first floor.... It is ground level or 0. I took some photos overlooking Dąbrowa Górnicza during the day and at night. I hope you enjoy some more food photos.
