Tarnów

Town Hall in the Market SquareAlthough I have been to Tarnów before, I had not toured the city. Five years ago, I had some client research that needed to be

done in the Diocesan Archives & there was no time for seeing the sights. This year, I wanted to take the time to see what Tarnów had to offer for the visitor.

Gosia and I found the nearest tourist information office to pick up some info so we could see what was available. Due to time constraints, we kept near the Rynek.

There are a variety of monuments and items of interest near Rynek, so you only have a short walk around the area. Of course the Diocesan Archives are nearby near the Cathedral Basilica of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary.

After the tour, we met up with my friend Aleksandra for a short time, as she arrived in town for some genealogy research & we took a walk down by the Dunajec River before driving back to Kraków.
