WDYTYA Day Two

DSC06991The second day of "Who Do You Think You Are? Live" I was at the APG stand for a short time before I left to spend the day with my cousin Dawid.

I returned later in the afternoon and attended the APG social at Pizza Express at the Olympia.  You would think that having a gathering at a pizza place is strange, but in fact it was wonderfully pleasant. It is a very nice restaurant and we had our own bar and bartender (a woman from the Czech Republic who lives in the town next to where my cousin lives).

We all had a chance to have some wine and socialize. It was great to have everyone in one place. I had been able to meet a number of those present during the conference, but not all.

DSC07002 After the social, we all sat down and enjoyed chatting more while we waited for our orders. I was able to get quite the education from some of the local Irish and Scottish genealogists. Amazing what you can learn without attending a lecture at a conference.

You will probably recognize many familiar faces in my photos. I saw about 12-15 familiar faces from the US while at the WDYTYA gathering in London.

After we finished dinner and were all talked out, most of use retired to our hotel rooms to recouperate in preparatation for the last day of the conference, although I believe that a few went to check out the pub across the street. Everything so far has been great and what a fantastic way to network with fellow genealogists from across the pond.
